Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 August 2026
This website is operated by Chen Heyah Peles, a ceramic artist based in Tel Aviv, Israel. This policy explains what personal information the site collects, why it is collected, who it is shared with, and what rights you have over it.
If you have any question about this policy, write to chenpeles@gmail.com.
Who is responsible for your information

The contact form
When you send a message through the contact form, you provide your name, your email address and the content of your message.
That message is delivered by email to the studio inbox, and a confirmation copy is sent to the email address you entered. The content of your message is not stored in this website's database — it lives in the studio email inbox, which is a Gmail account provided by Google.
This information is used only to read and answer your enquiry, and to keep a record of correspondence about acquisitions, commissions, studio visits and exhibitions. It is never sold, rented, or used for advertising.
The form also has an optional tick box asking whether you would like to receive occasional studio updates. It is unticked by default, you do not have to tick it to send your message, and if you leave it alone nothing further happens.
If you would rather not use the form, you can email chenpeles@gmail.com directly.
The email delivery log
To make sure messages actually arrive, the site keeps a technical log of every email it sends. Each log entry records the recipient's email address, which template was sent, whether it succeeded or failed, any error returned by the mail provider, and the date and time. It does not record the content of your message.
The site also keeps an unsubscribe record: an email address together with a one-time unsubscribe token, and — if you unsubscribe — an entry on a suppression list so that the site does not email that address again. The suppression list is kept indefinitely, because deleting it would undo your opt-out.
Studio updates by email
Chen keeps an informal list of people who have asked to hear about new work, exhibitions and open studio events. It is a simple list of names and email addresses kept in the studio Gmail account. It is not held in this website's database, it is not managed by any marketing platform, and it is never shared with, sold to or rented by anyone.
Addresses are added only when someone has clearly asked to be on the list — at an exhibition, in conversation, or by ticking the optional box on the contact form. Simply sending an enquiry through the form does not put you on the list.
Updates are written and sent by hand, a few times a year at most, always from chenpeles@gmail.com. To come off the list, reply to any update asking to be removed, or write to chenpeles@gmail.com. The address is then deleted from the list.
Website analytics
This site uses the built-in, first-party analytics provided by Lovable, the platform that hosts it. There are no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third-party tracking or profiling tools on this site.
The analytics record, for each page view: the page visited, the referring source that brought you here, your device type, your approximate country, the date and time, and how long the visit lasted. Basic performance measurements about how quickly pages load and respond are also collected. Your IP address is processed in order to derive the approximate country and to distinguish one visitor from another; it is not displayed in the analytics dashboard.
The results are only ever viewed in aggregate — visitor counts, page view counts, average visit duration, bounce rate, traffic sources, device types and countries. The purpose is simply to understand which works and pages people look at, and to keep the site working properly.
Cookies
This site sets two first-party cookies. Neither is used for advertising, and neither follows you to other websites.
- session-id — groups your page views into a single visit so that visit counts and visit duration can be measured.
- __dpl — set by the hosting platform to identify which deployed version of the site you are viewing, so that pages and assets load consistently.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The site will continue to work if you do.
Services that process data on behalf of the studio
- Lovable — hosts the website, its database and its email sending, and provides the analytics described above.
- Google (Gmail) — hosts the studio inbox where contact form messages are received and answered.
Third parties your browser contacts
Some content on this site is loaded from other companies. When that happens, those companies receive your IP address and basic technical information about your browser, and their own privacy policies apply.
- Google Fonts — the typefaces used across the site are loaded from Google's servers.
- Google Drive — the CV on the About page is hosted on Google Drive, so downloading it is a request to Google.
- Instagram — the studio's Instagram profile is linked from the Contact page. Nothing is loaded from Instagram unless you click that link.
International transfers
The studio is in Israel, and the services above operate servers outside Israel, including in the European Union and the United States. This means your information may be stored or processed outside your own country.
How long information is kept
- Contact form correspondence in the studio inbox: for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and keep a record of any resulting sale, commission or exhibition, and normally no longer than three years after our last contact.
- Email delivery log entries: up to twelve months.
- Mailing list addresses: until you ask to be removed.
- Unsubscribe and suppression records: indefinitely, so that opt-outs continue to be honoured.
- Analytics: retained in aggregate by the hosting platform.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information held about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to certain uses, to ask that processing be restricted, to receive a copy of your data in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time.
To make a request, email chenpeles@gmail.com. Requests are answered personally, normally within thirty days. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in Israel, you may contact the Privacy Protection Authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children under the age of sixteen, and it does not knowingly collect information from them.
Security
Information submitted through this site is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored on servers operated by the providers listed above. No system is perfectly secure, but access to the studio's data is limited to the artist and is protected by password authentication.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
